Ilayathalapathy Vijay and his heroine Tamannaah were to shoot a song for Sura in New York and its surrounding areas.

Now the latest we hear is that at the last minute there has been a change and the location has been changed from New York to New Zealand countryside!

The change has come because of lack of time as producer Sangili Murugan has to submit the final copy of the film to Sun Pictures before March 30. The Sun team will watch the movie and suggest the necessary changes to make it a super hit.

The promotions for the movie have to start in April first week, if it has to release during the second half of the month. As of now Sura is likely to release by April 23 or 30, as Vijay’s Golden Jubilee film.

The Sura unit has left for New Zealand on Friday (March 19) night for New Zealand to shoot the song tuned by Mani Sharma and is said to be a peppy melody. Vijay and the team has to come back to Chennai in six days as the audio launch of the film is slated for March 26.

Leading actress Sangeetha Krish is debuting in Tamil television with a mystery thriller Amudhasurabhi for Polymer television.

The serial is going to be directed by Naga who has many television horror serial hits like Marma Desam, Chidambara Ragisiyam etc. Naga has also completed director Shankar produced horror film Anandapurathu Veedu.

Sangeetha is doing a cameo role as Manimekalai, a crucial character in the serial and it is only for one episode.

Sangeetha has no plans to switch to TV as she is still very popular in Tamil cinema.

Maddy was replying to a question about the speculation of the hero’s that will star in the Tamil remake ever since Gemini Film Circuit bought the Telugu and Tamil remake rights of 3 Idiots from Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He also added that he would not like to act in the Tamil version too because he has already given his 100% to the Hindi Version and will not be able to do justice to the Tamil 3 Idiots.

However he is returning to Tamil with his movie with Kamal Hassan titled Karunyam which will be directed by KS Ravikumar

Santhanu Bhagyaraj after winding up ‘Siddu +2’ will be doing the remake of the yester years hit film of his father ‘Suvarillatha Chithirangal’. The pre production work for the remake is in full swing and senior Bhagyaraj is hopeful of recreating the magic of the original in the remake also. It’s the first time in Tamil that a director is remaking one of his earlier hits himself.

Testing for the second male lead is on and we hear the budding artiste Mahendran has also tried for the same. As far as the heroine role is considered lady luck may smile upon either ‘Subramaniapuram’ Swathi or ‘Poo’ Parvathi. Who ever gets the role must be thankful to director Bhagyaraj as the role has good scope for performance.

Vijay fans have something to cheer this month and that's about the launch of audio of his latest movie ‘Sura’.

‘Sura’ is directed by Rajkumar and produced by Murugan Cine Arts' Sangili Murugan. It is already the buzz in the industry, as it is Vijay's 50th film. Though Vijay is the hero, the hero on March 26th would be music director Mani Sharma who is the busiest music director in both Tamil and Telugu. Mani Sharma and Vijay have worked together in many occasions before, for example ‘Shajahan’, ‘Youth’, ‘Pokkiri’, ‘Thirupachi’, etc.

All these have been super hits, and let us hope ‘Sura’ will be included in that list.

Vadivelu is taking care of the comedy in the movie and the heroine is pretty girl Tamannah. It will be an interesting sight to see her dance with the energetic Vijay.
