Adler poised to join Hamburg


Bayer Leverkusen's former Germany goalkeeper Rene Adler is poised to sign for Hamburg, the club's sporting director Frank Arnesen told the Hamburger Morgenpost on Thursday.



Guerbert extends Dijon stay


Dijon midfielder Thomas Guerbert has extended his contract with the Ligue 1 side by two years until June 30, 2016, the French club confirmed on Thursday.





Villa hope Cuellar will stay


Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish said he was keen for Carlos Cuellar to stay at the club after confirming contract negotiations were under way with the Spanish defender.




Benzema out of action for three weeks


Real Madrid will be without French striker Karim Benzema for around three weeks after he picked up a groin injury in his side's 1-1 draw away to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday.
